My Favorite Photo Locations in Indiana

Stunning spots that feel straight out of a movie.

One of the best parts of being a wedding + engagement photographer in Indiana? There is no shortage of dreamy backdrops — from enchanted forests to small-town charm. Here are my absolute favorites:

The Wetlands — Evansville

Swampy waters + tall trees = pure magic.

This spot has a moody, fairytale-like vibe — perfect for romantic, earthy portraits. It’s one of my go-to hidden gems for couples who want something unique.

The Blue Bridge — New Harmony

Everything about New Harmony feels like a Hallmark movie. The historic Blue Bridge, the architecture, the quiet streets… it’s peaceful, picturesque, and full of character. Bonus: there are cute coffee shops nearby for post-session treats!

Downtown Newburgh

This one’s for the small-town sweethearts. Cobblestone sidewalks, historic buildings, and riverside charm — Newburgh gives a cozy, romantic feel that fits so many love stories beautifully.

Hemlock Cliffs — English, IN

Massive stone walls, dreamy light, and (after a good rain) a waterfall worth hiking for. Hemlock Cliffs is a favorite for adventurous couples who want something bold and breathtaking. Think: elopement-in-the-wild energy.

Cataract Falls — Near Spencer

This one might be my favorite waterfall location in Indiana. The sound, the spray, the natural beauty — it’s a peaceful and powerful backdrop for both engagement and wedding portraits. You really can't go wrong here.

Choosing the right photo location matters.

It sets the mood, tells your story, and adds that little extra something to your gallery.
