Ever wonder what your wedding day looks like through my camera? Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough of how I capture your day — from quiet morning details to the dance floor finale.

Before Anything Begins… I Arrive Early

I get there ahead of schedule to scope out the venue, check the light, and scout photo spots. It gives me time to settle in and get creatively grounded before the action begins.

Getting Ready + Detail Photos

I begin by styling and photographing all your personal details —

Dress, veil, shoes

Rings, invitation suite, perfume

Florals and heirlooms

While I’m focused on flat lays and details, my second shooter (Amanda or Shaina!) is with your groom and groomsmen capturing their prep and candids.

Candid Getting-Ready Moments

I capture those sweet, natural moments — mom zipping the dress, bridesmaids laughing in robes, quiet glances in the mirror. These are the emotional foundation of your gallery.

First Look (if you’re doing one!)

If you choose a first look, we’ll coordinate a quiet, private space. It’s one of the most emotional moments of the day — and we make sure it's peaceful and unrushed.

Couple Portraits

After the first look, we move right into couple photos. This is when I capture the romance, connection, and joy — and where your cinematic story starts to unfold.

Ceremony Time

We tuck you away as guests arrive, and then it’s time to walk down the aisle.

You say your vows, exchange rings, and I capture every emotion — the teary smiles, proud parents, and just-married magic.

Family + Wedding Party Photos

Right after the ceremony, we keep family and group portraits efficient and joyful (with a shot list you’ll give me ahead of time!). Then we dive into full bridal party and remaining couple portraits — often during golden hour for that dreamy glow.

Reception Begins

We capture your grand entrance and move into either the first dance or dinner — every wedding is a little different, but we follow the flow while documenting candid joy.

The Moments That Make It Personal

From speeches and toasts to cake cutting and first dances, we stay ready to catch every laugh, happy tear, and surprise dance move.

We don’t just photograph the big stuff — we’re watching for in-between moments too. The hugs. The hand squeezes. The way your people love you.

End of the Night Vibes

We wrap up coverage with dancing, fun group shots, and any final send-off moments. And when it’s all said and done, I head home and begin backing up every precious image.
